If you've heard L'Oréal Paris ' commercials, you'll remember the slogan " because I'm worth it ." "I'm worth it" isn't just another slogan, it's their mission. Because it's not just about products, it's about a whole philosophy of life that encourages women to embrace their uniqueness. Beauty is power, and true empowerment comes when a woman takes her image into her own hands and believes in her own worth. It really is. No one can control how we see ourselves except ourselves.

L'Oréal Paris: Women's empowerment through beauty

Friday afternoon and the Embassy Theater is full of women, all of us invited by L'Oréal Paris, Greece to a special event starring beauty, self-confidence and female empowerment , on the occasion of Women's Day. As a former cinema, the venue had been chosen to see the first screening of the short documentary "The Final Copy of Ilon Specht" by Oscar-winning director Ben Proudfoot. The documentary, dedicated to the creative mind of the young American copywriter Ilon Specht who worked at McCann, one of the largest advertising agencies and in 1971 wrote the iconic phrase of L'Oréal Paris " Because We're Worth It ", told how the history of the brand, of herself, and of all women, was about to change. It was the first time an advertising message highlighted confidence as a central element of female beauty . Since then, the message has evolved into a powerful symbol of empowerment, translated into 40 languages, and remains a powerful slogan that unites women around the world. It encourages them to pursue their dreams, love their image, and claim the value they deserve—every day, in every aspect of their lives.

Since then, the message has evolved into a powerful symbol of empowerment, inspiring women of all ages, cultures and lifestyles to believe in themselves. The ambassadors who have represented the brand over the years—from legendary actresses and models to scientists and activists—are not just pretty faces in a campaign. They are voices that reflect the L'Oréal Paris message, and the brand's brand ambassador, Doukissa Nomikou, spoke to us about them, moderating a conversation between three extraordinary women, designer Christina Kontova, dermatologist and PhD at the University of Athens School of Medicine Vasiliki

Mousatou and actress Lena Papaligoura. With the historical slogan as the central theme, the speakers referred to how women manage to cope with all the challenges of everyday life, balancing professional, family and personal obligations.
